bREAST FAT GRAFTING
What is Breast Fat Grafting?
Breast fat grafting (also known as autologous fat transfer) is a cosmetic procedure in which fat is taken from one part of your body (usually areas like the abdomen, thighs, or flanks) and transferred to the breasts to enhance their size, shape, and contour. It is a natural, non-surgical alternative to breast implants and offers a more subtle and natural look.
PROCEDURE
- Fat Harvesting:
Liposuction is used to remove excess fat from areas of the body that have unwanted fat deposits, such as the abdomen, thighs, flanks, or buttocks. The fat is carefully extracted using a small cannula (tube) inserted under the skin.
- Fat Purification:
After being harvested, the fat is purified to remove impurities such as blood, fluids, or oils. This process ensures that only healthy fat cells are used for the grafting.
- Fat Injection:
The purified fat is then injected into the breast tissue using small cannulas through tiny incisions in the skin. The surgeon carefully places the fat in layers, starting from deeper tissues and working outward, to create a more natural, rounded breast shape and size.
Benefits of Fat Grafting:
- Natural Results: Since the procedure uses your own fat, the results feel and look more natural compared to silicone or saline breast implants.
- Dual Benefit: It provides a two-for-one benefit by reducing fat from unwanted areas (like the abdomen or thighs) while enhancing breast size and shape.
- No Risk of Implant-Related Complications: There is no risk of complications related to breast implants, such as rupture, leakage, or capsular contracture.
- Minimal Scarring: The incisions used for fat grafting are typically very small, leading to minimal scarring.
